1. Who we are
GraceDay is made by DailyInfinity Studios, in Pakistan. Contact: dailyinfinity.support@gmail.com.
2. Summary
- You do not need an account. An account is optional and used only for cloud sync.
- Pro is an optional subscription, paid through Google Play. We do not see or store your card details.
- Your habits stay on your phone, unless you choose to turn on cloud sync.
- There are no ads.
- We never sell data.
- Anonymous analytics and crash reports are sent only if you agree, and you can change your mind any time.
3. Who can use GraceDay
GraceDay is intended for people aged 16 and over. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If a parent or guardian believes a child under 16 has used the app and shared data with us, they can email dailyinfinity.support@gmail.com and we will delete it.
4. Data that stays on your device
Unless you use cloud sync (section 11), this data is never sent to us. It is stored in the app's private storage on your phone:
- your habits: names, icons, schedules, rest days and goals;
- your check-ins and their times;
- grace days, hearts and streaks;
- reminders and pause periods;
- your optional display name;
- settings: theme, day-end time and your consent choice.
The home-screen widget shows today's habit names, your hearts and your grace days. It reads them from your phone only and sends nothing anywhere. A progress card is made on your phone; it leaves your phone only when you tap Share and pick where it goes. Habit names and your name are off on the card unless you turn them on.
5. Data collected only with your consent (Firebase by Google)
The app asks whether you want to help improve GraceDay. You can change your answer at any time in You → Help improve GraceDay. If you do not agree, neither of the following is sent.
a. Firebase Analytics collects:
- app interaction events, for example: onboarding step, onboarding finished, habit created, check-in, grace day used, heart used, progress viewed, share card created (with the card type only);
- an app instance ID, device model, operating system version, app version and language;
- your approximate country, worked out from your IP address. We do not store the IP address ourselves.
It never includes habit names, notes, your display name or the content of your habits.
b. Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports: stack traces, device model, operating system version, app version, free memory and disk space, screen orientation, and a Crashlytics installation ID.
6. Why we use it
To understand which features are used, to improve the app, and to find and fix crashes. We use it for no advertising, no profiling, no selling of data, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
7. Legal basis (EEA and UK GDPR)
Your consent. You can withdraw it at any time without affecting how the app works.
8. Sharing
We use these service providers (processors). They handle data only on our behalf and under their own privacy terms:
- Supabase stores your account and your synced data (section 11). The data is stored in Tokyo, Japan (AWS region ap-northeast-1). See Supabase's privacy policy.
- RevenueCat processes purchases and tells the app and our server whether you have Pro (section 11a). See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
- Google provides Firebase analytics and crash reports (section 5), Google Play billing for Pro (section 11a) and, only if you choose it, Google sign-in (Google tells us your email address). See Google's privacy policy and Firebase privacy information. Firebase data may be processed outside your country, in Google's data centers, under Google's safeguards. When the app is installed from Google Play, Google Play also tells the app when a new version is available, under Google's own terms.
We share nothing with anyone else, except if the law requires it. We never sell data.
9. How long we keep it
- Analytics event data: deleted automatically after 2 months.
- Crash reports: deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Data on your device: kept until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Your account and synced data: kept until you delete your account. We keep only the one current copy.
- After Pro ends: your synced data is no longer updated and is kept for 90 days, then deleted. You can load it on a new phone any time in those 90 days, and you can delete it earlier.
10. Permissions the app uses
- Notifications: for your reminders and the weekly review.
- Run at startup: to restore your reminders after your phone restarts.
- Internet: to send analytics and crash reports you agreed to, and for sign-in and cloud sync if you use them.
Android also grants a few ordinary system permissions that need no prompt: checking network status, keeping the phone awake for a moment so a reminder can show, and vibration for reminders. GraceDay does not use your location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos.
11. Account and cloud sync (optional)
GraceDay works fully without an account. If you choose You → Cloud sync, you can sign in with Google or with an email one-time code. We then store:
- your email address (and your Google account ID if you use Google sign-in), to identify your account;
- your synced data: one current copy of your habit data, which includes your habit names, schedules, check-ins, notes, pauses, settings and display name. It is replaced automatically a short while after you change something on your phone, and it also records its date, the app version, your phone model and the number of habits and days.
The synced copy is stored by our service provider Supabase in Tokyo, Japan (AWS ap-northeast-1). They are encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, and are readable only by your account. Keeping the copy up to date is a Pro feature; loading it on a new phone is always free. If Pro ends, the copy is kept for 90 days and then deleted; during that time you can still load it on a new phone. We keep it until you delete it or delete your account. We use this data only to provide sync, and never for advertising. While you are signed in, the app also asks our server for the oldest app version that may sync (a build number only), so we can ask people on a broken old version to update.
You can delete your account and the synced data in You → Cloud sync, or by following how deletion works. Delete all my data clears this phone only; it clears this phone and signs it out, but does not delete your cloud account or synced data.
11a. Pro subscription (optional)
Pro is an optional subscription (yearly, with a 3-day free trial, or monthly) bought through Google Play billing. Google handles the payment; we never see your card or payment details. We use RevenueCat to process the purchase and to know whether Pro is active. RevenueCat receives your purchase history (which plan, when it started, renews or ends) and an app user ID: an anonymous ID until you sign in to cloud sync, then your account ID, so a purchase follows you to a new phone. RevenueCat also tells our server whether your Pro is active and when it ends, which is how we allow cloud sync uploads. We use this only to provide Pro, never for advertising, and we do not share it with anyone else.
You can cancel any time in Google Play (You → Subscription → Manage in Google Play). Purchase records are kept as long as the stores and RevenueCat need them for billing and legal reasons.
Device backups
If Android's device backup is turned on, Android may include GraceDay's data in your Google device backup, under Google's terms. You can turn that off in your phone's settings.
12. Your choices and rights
- Turn analytics off any time in You.
- Delete everything on your phone in You → Delete all my data, and your account and synced data in You → Cloud sync → Delete account. See how deletion works.
- You can ask us for access to, or deletion of, data we may hold about you. That is your account and synced data, and the anonymous Firebase data. We answer within 30 days.
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, the UK or California) you may have extra rights. Email us to use them.
13. Security
Your data stays in the app's private storage. Analytics, crash data, sign-in and cloud sync are sent encrypted (HTTPS), and the synced copy is encrypted at rest. No method is 100% secure.
14. Changes
We will update this page and the "Last updated" date. Important changes are shown in the app.
